The Corporate Social Responsibility of the Royal Son Bou Family Club

At our hotel, we are proud to not only offer an unforgettable experience to the families who visit us, but also to contribute positively to the community and environment that surrounds us.

As a destination specialized in family tourism, we recognize the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and strive to integrate sustainable and supportive practices in all our operations.

Corporate social responsibility is more than an initiative, it is an integral part of our identity and business philosophy.

Our four fundamental pillars are the following:

1. Commitment to the local community
We are committed to be an active and supportive member of the local community. We collaborate with local charities, foundations and community groups to support initiatives that improve the quality of life of the residents in Menorca. From food and textile donations to job placement programs, we seek to contribute significantly to the well-being of our community.

We collaborate with Diocesan Caritas of Menorca, Rotary Club and the Disabled Foundation de Menorca.

2. Promotion of responsible tourismAs a tourist destination, we recognize our responsibility in promoting responsible and sustainable tourism. We encourage respect for our environment, providing our guests with information about responsible tourism practices and activities that promote the conservation of nature and local culture.

We organize special workshops, activities and theme days in our entertainment programme.

3. Sustainable environmental practices
We are committed to reducing our environmental impact. We implement sustainable practices included in our Environmental Management System in all areas of our hotel, from efficient water and energy management to waste minimization and the promotion of recycling. In addition, we seek to use products and materials with minimal or no impact on the environment.

4. Child protection and education
We recognize the importance of child protection and education in the development of future generations. For this reason, we open our doors to schools and institutes in Menorca for activities and visits that promote the learning and development of children and young people.

We are allies of Unicef in the Friendly Hotels program that educates and protects children affected by climate change.

Every year we offer our Royal Family Care scholarship, a financial support for a project that addresses and develops child protection initiatives.
