When Recognition Comes from Families: HolidayCheck Awards 2026

In the 2026 edition of the HolidayCheck Awards, Royal Son Bou Family Club has been recognised in several key categories, strengthening its position as one of Spain’s highest-rated family hotels based on families’ real experiences.

In the Familienhotels (family hotels) category, the hotel achieved 3rd place in Spain—a particularly meaningful distinction, as it connects directly with the essence and DNA of the project.

In addition, the hotel was recognised in other outstanding categories:

  • Strandhotels (beach hotels): 25th place in Spain
  • All Inclusive Hotels: 15th place in Spain
  • Badeurlaub (swimming holidays): 47th place in Spain

These results are not the outcome of a one-off campaign or an exceptional season. They reflect consistent quality, sustained attention to detail over time, and the daily commitment of the entire team to deliver memorable experiences for families.

When recognition is built day by day

The HolidayCheck Awards are based exclusively on real and verified guest reviews, which makes this recognition more than a ranking: it is an authentic snapshot of what families experience during their stay.

As Tumeu Janer, the hotel’s director, explains, “awards aren’t worked on; the day-to-day work is what matters. If every family leaves satisfied, recognition ends up coming on its own.”

A vision that focuses not on the result, but on the process: listening, correcting, improving… and starting again each season.

Along the same lines, he emphasises that “the key is people. The team understands that we don’t manage rooms—we manage family holidays, and that completely changes the way we work”. That internal culture is what ends up being felt on the outside.

A track record endorsed by families

The 2026 award is not an isolated milestone, but a new highlight within a track record of recognitions built up over the years, always with one common denominator: the positive ratings from those who have lived the experience first-hand.

Beyond rankings and positions, these recognitions confirm a way of understanding family tourism:

  • putting families at the centre,
  • caring for every detail without losing closeness,
  • and improving continuously, season after season.

Because when families speak, the message is clear: the experience delivers on what it promises. And in a sector as competitive as tourism, that consistency is, quite possibly, the greatest award of all.
