Tourist Quality Commitment, accredits and recognizes the efforts of the participating companies.

The distinction accredits the compliance of the requirements established in the methodology and recognizes the efforts and commitment to quality and continuous improvement, distinguishing at the same time the company from its competitors. The distinction has biennial validity, although it is subject to an annual assessment of follow-up. Visual identity standards must be applied by the companies awarded in the SCTE platform.

What is SICTED?

It is a project to improve the quality of tourism destinations promoted by the Spanish Institute of Tourism (TURESPAÑA) and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), which works with companies / tourism services of 30 different trades, with ultimate goal of improving the tourist experience and satisfaction.

The SCTE Destinos is a methodology that provides a comprehensive and permanent system of quality management in a tourist destination with a new understanding of the expected results, a focus on improvement and an attitude of recovery and enhancement of resources and space.

The SCTE Destinos is based on the integral consciousness as touristic destination and on the identification of common objectives of all involved agents.

The SCTE Destinos pursues a consistent level of quality in the services offered to tourists within a destination, so that there are not substantial quality gaps between different products (agents) that form the offer on the destination and thus negative conditioning of perception and satisfaction of tourists.

Among other tools, it has 30 best practice manuals, one for each job. It offers to associated companies and tourism services training, technical assistance visits by certified counselors, group workshops, working groups to develop proposals for improvements to the target and contrasting assessments about the adequacy of the company / service to quality standards. All this culminates in obtaining distinctive Tourist Quality Commitment
